INGRAM, Pa. — Ingram police are asking for the public’s help identifying a group of thieves, investigators said, who broke into several locked cars and vandalized them.

Channel 11 spoke with victims, who told us several of the vehicles targeted are Hyundais or Kias.

Kyle, who didn’t want to provide his last name for privacy reasons, said the thieves broke the door handle on his Hyundai Sonata.

It was one of four vehicles reported to have similar damage. Police said the vehicles were parked along West Prospect Avenue, Noll Avenue, and Chartiers Place.

Another belonged to Sean Hudson, whose car was parked along Noll Avenue.

“The damage is frustrating. Some people are going to have to pay a lot more than we’re going to have to,” Hudson said. “Fortunately, no one has been hurt. There hasn’t been any confrontation, which is a relief.”

Pictures shared by Ingram police also showed the shattered rear window of a Kia. Investigators believe it was broken by a center punch.

They also reported damage to the steering columns of two other vehicles and said the thieves got away with $20, AirPods, and a credit card.

Both Kyle and Hudson have filed police reports and are hoping investigators find whoever is responsible.

Police are asking anyone with information or doorbell camera footage of the incidents to call them at 412-921-6969.
