Starbucks opens store designed to serve deaf community

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Starbucks has officially opened its first signing store in the nation's capital. The store is designed to serve the deaf and hard of hearing community.

The company says it's working to open stores that serve diverse communities where its stores are located.

The store will offer a unique retail experience for all patrons while offering accessibility and it offers employment opportunities for the deaf and hard of hearing.
