LEECHBURG, Pa. — The FBI is searching for a man who tunneled through the wall of a Leechburg bank and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash Monday morning.

FBI officials said the man entered the First Commonwealth Bank on Market Street around 2:30 a.m through a hole in the wall of the building next door.

The man used a crowbar to force open tellers' drawers and took cash, investigators said.

There was only change inside those drawers, since the bank wasn't open.

TRENDING NOW:

Surveillance video doesn't show much since the suspect was heavily covered.

Investigators believe the robber used a large piece of equipment to break through the wall.

The bank remains closed, and bank customers have been directed to another branch.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Leechburg Police Department at 724-842-8531.
