JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Butler County fire chief driving by an aluminum casting plant helped stop a fire from spreading.
Harmony Fire Chief Scott Garing was driving by Harmony Castings in Jackson Township when he saw workers standing outside the building and smoke coming out of the doors.
The workers told Garing a piece of equipment had just caught fire.
