DELMONT, Pa. — The former secretary of Delmont Borough is facing charges for allegedly inappropriately using borough funds to pay bills and purchase other items.
According to a criminal complaint, Karen Lee Shola racked up ore than $43,000 in charges on S&T Bank credit cards that were issued to the borough.
Police said Shola used the money to pay off bills, buy decorations and make other personal purchases. She used a borough-issued check to pay for a traffic citation, which is how she was ultimately caught, police said.
