PITTSBURGH — Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge is endorsing Joe Biden for president.

Ridge, a Republican, wrote an op-ed for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“I will cast my vote for Joe Biden on Nov. 3. It will be my first vote for a Democratic candidate for president of the United States,” the op-ed begins.

Ridge said it is not the first time he has said “no” to President Donald Trump who, he wrote, “lacks the empathy, integrity, intellect and maturity to lead.”
