Hampton Shaler Water Authority customers being asked to conserve water

HAMPTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Hampton Shaler Water Authority customers are being asked to conserve water after a water main break on a pump main leaving the plant, officials said Wednesday.

People are asked to stop normal water usage, specifically for activities such as car washing, lawn watering and laundry that is not necessary.

“As a reminder, once we have resumed normal operations, if you have discolored water, no light colored laundry until your water is clear again. If you have any health issues, we recommend using bottled water in lieu of the discolored water. Once the water clears, normal water use may resume,” according to the water authority’s website.
