MURRYSVILLE, Pa. — A huge donation of personal protective equipment was made anonymously to Murrysville Medic One.

Several vehicle loads of the equipment were sent to Medic One, according to a Tuesday Facebook post.

Boxes and boxes of face shields, hard hats, respirator filters -- and about 90,000 pairs of gloves -- were included in the donation, officials said.

“We were not only able to stock our cabinets, but also share with other emergency services in the area. It’s acts of kindness that keeps our spirits up in these difficult times,” the post said.

The equipment will be used on the front lines while responding to calls during the coronavirus pandemic.

The donor got the supplies from a warehouse that was being cleared out.
