SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP — A frightening night for Sharon Satterfield -- she rushed out of her South Park home Monday night hoping she could help someone in need.
“His best friend came running down and was like, ‘Gram, somebody has been hit on the road and is laying there,’” Satterfield said.
Paramedics were called to Snowden Road, where there's a large curve in the road, for a report of a man possibly hit by a car.
“I grabbed a blanket and ran up there to see if there was anything I could do,” Satterfield said. “He was already dead.”

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him Tuesday as John Jenkins, 48, of New Eagle. A passerby told police they saw Jenkins walking in the street last night.
Homicide detectives are now investigating, but neighbors say they are suspicious, especially Satterfield, since they didn't hear any tires screech, and her dogs never barked.
“I’m not a police officer, I'm not an investigator, but I think this man's body was dumped,” Satterfield said.
Allegheny County police are asking for anyone who was driving along this road in South Park between 9:30 and 9:50 p.m. Monday to give them a call.
