BEAVER, Pa. — A man was found guilty Monday of first-degree murder in the June 2016 death of his ex-girlfriend in Beaver County.
Edward Baker Jr. admitted on the witness stand to killing 30-year-old Addaleigh Huzyak in her Beaver home. The Beaver County coroner said she died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Prosecutors claim Baker, who was arrested in Kentucky after fleeing, planned the murder. They said he was angry that Huzyak broke up with him.

Baker said Huzyak “pushed him over the edge,” and he admitted to shooting, stabbing, killing and sexually assaulting her.
Channel 11's Amy Marcinkiewicz reported that Baker claimed that he was paranoid and suicidal and that he suffers from anxiety and depression. He told the jury that he waited for Huzyak in her home on the night of the killing until she came home.
