Man found shot to death in Pittsburgh neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — Police are investigating after a man was found shot in the head Thursday evening in Pittsburgh’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood.

According to a release from investigators, officers were called to the 2600 block of Stayton Street around 5 p.m.

When police arrived, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his head. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as 38-year-old David Craig Smith.

No information was released regarding a possible shooter, and the details of what led to the deadly shooting are unclear.

Police are investigating the incident, and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
