Man killed crossing Westmoreland Co. road, police looking for driver

EAST HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police are searching for the driver in a deadly hit and run Tuesday morning in Westmoreland County.

Robert Sheele, 64, was killed on Mount Pleasant Road in East Huntingdon Township near the intersection of Pattern Shop Road between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.

At this point, Pennsylvania State Police don’t know who was driving or what type of vehicle was involved, but they do believe they were driving southbound.

It appears he was trying to cross the road from the Coal and Coke Trail, right on the border of Fayette County, police said.
