Students in 2 Beaver County school districts test positive for COVID-19

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — Two school districts in Beaver County have cases of COVID-19.

A 12th grader in the Hopewell Area School District tested positive. The student was last in school on Sept. 23 and the district is now doing contact tracing and extra cleaning.

Hopewell has been operating on a hybrid schedule for students.

In the Freedom Area School District, a few athletes on the girls' volleyball and soccer teams have the coronavirus. Because of that, all practices and games have been cancelled through Monday.

Freedom students are still learning virtually.
