PITTSBURGH — Two suspects have been arrested for their alleged involvement in two Pittsburgh-area bank robberies.
Joel Velazquez-Reyes and Alexandra Osche carried out robberies at the Dollar Bank on East Carson Street in Pittsburgh’s South Side and the Community Bank in Brookline, according to investigators.
Police said that in both robberies, Velazquez-Reyes told bank tellers to “give him money in large bills with no dye packs.” He then got away in a rental car driven by Osche. Police said they were able to connect Osche to the crimes by tracking down who rented the car, and through surveillance video.
