19-year-old dies in crash at local motocross track

MOUNT PLEASANT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A teen was killed in a crash at a motocross track in Mount Pleasant Township Sunday afternoon.

The Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office said the victim is Kenneth Miller, Jr., 19, of Salem Township.

According to the release, Miller was riding an off-road motorcycle when he tried to clear a jump. He came up short and was thrown from his bike.

Miller was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The coroner said he was wearing a helmet and proper protective gear at the time of the crash.
