PITTSBURGH — A teenager was shot Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh's Homewood neighborhood.
Police said the 15-year-old boy was shot twice, in the buttocks and a leg, while standing on a sidewalk
Emergency crews responded to the 800 block of Brushton Avenue around 1 p.m. after a ShotSpotter notification alerted them, police said.
When officers arrived at scene, all they found was a home struck by a bullet.
Around 1:20 p.m., the teen called 911 saying he walked to a home on Cain Way in the East Hills, police said.
He was transported to Children’s Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
Pittsburgh police are investigating the shooting.
