SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Diane Dourlain has lived on Main Street in Scott Township for 25 years and increased tractor-trailer traffic is causing her hillside to shift, she told Channel 11.

Her backyard is right up against the street, her wall is crumbled, her steps are buckled and her deck is lopsided. The deck is even pushing into her house.

“When this wall did come down, it was just brick. There was none of this dirt or debris coming down. It just keeps getting pushed and pushed,” Dourlain said.

Dourlain told Channel 11 she contacted the township and PennDOT after an insurance company denied her claim.

She feels like no one wants to take responsibility and help her.

“I’m positive because we never had this problem until they started using this road, and we think the GPS is taking them on this route,” she said.

Channel 11 contacted PennDOT and was told a staff member would be out to Dourlain’s property to look at the hillside in the coming days.

“My biggest concern is safety, and I don’t want anything to happen to the foundation of my home,” she said.
