Sidney Crosby marks 30th birthday with Stanley Cup, parade

COLE HARBOR, Nova Scotia. — You can't really forget Sidney Crosby's birthday. After all, he wears it on his jersey.

Today, the Penguins captain will mark his 30th birthday with the Stanley Cup and a parade.

This is the second year in a row that Crosby will take part in the Halifax-Dartmouth Natal Day Parade. It's an annual event to celebrate Halifax's birthday, and it just happens to fall on Crosby's birthday.

Natal Day chairman Greg Hayward said he expects another 25,000 people will be lining the parade route on top of the roughly 40,000 usual attendees.
