Seasonable Thursday with highs in the upper 60s

PITTSBURGH — It will feel much more seasonable today with temperatures this morning in the 50s and highs this afternoon in the mid to upper 60s. Skies will be mostly cloudy, but no rain is expected.

The next system slides closer to us tonight, bringing the chance for some passing showers and possibly a quick storm after midnight. Temperatures will climb into the low 70s overnight and going into Friday morning.

A cold front will then slice through the area, bringing a period of light to moderate rain and wind gusts that could reach 30 or 35mph. Temperatures will fall into the low and mid 50s by the end of the day, with waves of light rain lasting through Friday night.

There is still the potential for a few wet flakes to mix in early Saturday for areas north of I-80 and into the ridges, but most of us won’t see it. Highs will struggle to get out of the 40s Saturday with a widespread freeze coming Sunday morning!
