Showers, few downpours possible mainly south of Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — An area of heavy rain and storms will pass mainly south of the Mason-Dixon line this morning, but a few showers or downpours may redevelop as far north as Washington or Pittsburgh. A pop-up storm will remain possible this afternoon, mainly well south of Pittsburgh.

Much drier and less humid air will push in tonight behind a cold front which will allow overnight lows to dip into the 50s. Some neighborhoods along I-80 could dip into the low 50s!

Low humidity, sunshine, and user-friendly weather will last into Labor Day and early next week. It will start to turn a little warm and muggy again by next Wednesday, but a passing cold front will keep that temporary with showers possible late Wednesday or Thursday.
