Winter Storm Izzy incoming, wind chills in the negatives

PITTSBURGH — A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 1 p.m. Sunday through 1 p.m. Monday.

Expect impactful snowfall across the region during the second half of today through Monday. Snowy roads, icy conditions, and reduced visibility are possible. Limit your time outside and on the roads.

Snow will begin this afternoon. Coverage increases from the south toward the north through the afternoon and evening. The steadiest snow will be after sunset through Monday morning. Snow will accumulate, especially on untreated surfaces. A brief period of sleet/freezing rain is possible.

Wind chills this morning are in the negatives and single digits. Cold air stays in place with highs near freezing.
