Woman jumps from window, escapes police serving felony warrant

ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A woman jumped out a window to elude police attempting to serve a felony warrant Sunday in Allegheny Township, authorities said.

The incident happened on South Leechburg Hill Road, where police were serving felony warrants for probation violations to two women, according to officials. A neighboring police department alerted Allegheny County police to the women.

One of the women was taken into custody, but the other got away after jumping from a home’s window and running, officials said.

“One of the females apparently saw one of our cars approach and fled to the back of the residence,” Allegheny Township police Chief Duane Fisher said.

The woman who fled was identified as 26-year-old Cally Mills, of Leechburg. The woman who was arrested was identified as 25-year-old Heather McGuire, of West Leechburg.

The search for Mills continues after officers from several police departments and a K-9 were unable to track her down.

“She has family in the area, and we anticipate that she’s hiding in the area. At that point, if we find out she is, they will also be charged with assisting someone we’re looking for,” Fisher said.

Police said the original charges against the women were for theft, drugs and access device fraud.
