BETHEL PARK, Pa. — Students, teachers and members of the community celebrated the official dedication of Bethel Park Elementary School.
The new school is for students in grades K-5.
Sixth graders now attend the middle school.
Superintendent Dr. Matthew Patterson said the new building will make operations run smoother.
“Everything’s a little bit easier when you have less square footage, but it also provides us greater efficiency in our programming and our staffing. It provides greater equity to students, so no matter which school or neighborhood you live in in Bethel Park, you’re getting a first-class educational experience here in the district,” Patterson said.
A groundbreaking on the $132 million project happened back in 2023.
The school opened to students just last month.
