Family members held a balloon release on the Sixth Street Bridge.
Simmons’ sister, Jenae Davis, told Channel 11 that they’re not giving up the search.
“We’re all hopeful, like I said, very much hopeful that he comes home,” Davis said. “And as a family, we’re still here, we’re still fighting. We’re still looking. Any help we can get is much appreciated.”
The family has organized search parties and put up flyers. They ask the public to keep an eye out for Simmons.
His son, Kayden Simmons, told Channel 11, “I miss him, and I hope he comes back.”
According to Pittsburgh police in March, Simmons is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. He has a black goatee and a tattoo on his neck that says, “Yalilnda.”
