Two dogs died in a two-alarm house fire in West Mifflin on Saturday night.
Firefighters had trouble tamping down flames in the two-story frame house in the 500 block of McGowan Avenue, Fire Chief Steve Schwab said.

The residents were not home when the fire broke out, and investigators are still trying to figure out the cause.
