PITTSBURGH — Police have offered an $8,000 reward for information about a second car that could have been involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Penn Hills last month.

The crash, which happened around 9:30 p.m. on April 28, left 51-year-old Joseph Morris dead on Hershey Road.

According to the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, new evidence was presented in court on Tuesday during a bail hearing for Surron Burch, the man arrested for allegedly hitting Joseph Morris and leaving him behind to die.

That evidence shows that Morris was not dragged by the car Burch was driving.

That second vehicle has not been identified yet, but county investigators believe they have images of it from video surveillance recovered on Universal Road. The vehicle appears to be a sedan and would most likely have sustained damage to the front and undercarriage.

A reward of up to $8000.00 is being offered for information concerning this vehicle.
