According to the criminal complaint, one of Hayden's victims told police, "He grabbed me by the throat and choked me so many times I couldn't breathe. He pulled me farther into the woods and I fought to stay in the light. I screamed and screamed. I screamed for my freedom. He said, 'Stop screaming or I'll kill you.'"
A jury convicted Hayden of aggravated assault, strangulation, rape and other sex charges.
He will be sentenced on Sept. 6.
