Paramedics couldn't save Butler, a grandmother who has lots of family and friends in the neighborhood where she was shot.

"She was with me the whole daytime. At five o'clock in the evening, she went to visit some friends and I hadn't heard from her since then," said Butler's friend Danisha Hobbs.

Her loved ones have suspicions about what led up to the shooting and hope police find the gunman soon.

There's is no word on a suspect.
