A familiar face will return to the Pirates’ lineup for their final series of the season.

Infielder Jung Ho Kang will be called up Friday and be active for Pittsburgh’s games in Cincinnati this weekend, the team announced Thursday.

Kang, 31, hasn't played a major-league game since 2016. After that season, legal and visa troubles related to several DUI charges led the team to place him on the restricted list, and South Korean courts ruled he could not legally work in the United States.

He'll wear No. 16, the team said.
