A Woodland Hills School Board member has resigned.
Terri Lawson’s attorney confirms to Channel 11 that she resigned from the school board “on her own terms.”
“She has done her tour of duty,” Attorney Phil DiLucente’s statement said. “The school district was created by a federal lawsuit and has had its advocates for existing and its detractors, but most would say they were lucky for her to be a part of it.”
Her resignation comes months after public pressure and felony theft charges. Police say she spent $10,000 on a Rankin Borough credit card while she was the borough manager.

After charges were filed, Lawson resigned as the school board president but stayed on the school board, despite a community push for her to leave.
DiLucente says she was never convicted of anything.
Back in August, a judge ordered Lawson to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, where she has to complete 100 hours of community service.
