MONONGAHELA, Pa. — About 1,500 West Penn customers in Monongahela, Donora and Charleroi are getting ready to lose power.
The planned outage will be from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday.

The outage is the talk of Carroll Township. People don't understand why the outage is being done when it's cold outside.
Channel 11's Lori Houy talked to a mother of two who doesn't have a fireplace or generator to keep her kids warm.
"We are pretty angry in this neighborhood. We have young children and elderly. It's gonna be cold. It's really cold right now. And we're concerned about everyone's health and comfort," Jessica Wheeler said.
