Many people in Washington County will remember the details of the case from Aug.30, 2016.
Tierne Ewing was kidnapped by her estranged husband, touching off an all-day manhunt. It came to an end with three gunshots and a murder-suicide in a barn in West Finley Township.
But for one woman, it was more than a shocking story. It was the day she lost her mother and father.
For the first time since that day, Morgan Miller is sharing her story with hopes she can give hope and help to someone fighting the same battle as her mother.

"I am angry," Miller told Channel 11's Cara Sapida. "I try not to hold onto the anger. I genuinely believe my father was sick."
Miller sat down for a lengthy and emotional interview about the day she lost her parents. We asked her what the hardest part of thinking about that day is for her.
"Knowing that she probably did all of this to keep me, my brother, my children safe," she said. "She always put herself last."
