The title says it all! EGOT winner and NBC “The Voice” coach John Legend is taking his talents to the set of “This Is Us.”
The buzz started Sunday night when a preview of the hit drama announced the return will bring “the biggest surprises yet” -- cue glimpse of Lengend at the piano!
While there is still no word on what role or how long the singer/songwriter will be on the show, it will be a surprise for literally everyone, including his wife, Chrissy Tiegen.
I had no idea until now and still don’t get it? his song or himself? https://t.co/Ym6Mga1P9p

As fans took to Twitter about the surprise appearance, Tiegen was quick to announce she was not in the know and join in the conversation, saying, “I had no idea until now and still don’t get it? his song or himself?”
The tweets also caught the attention of “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman, who says everything will make sense in Tuesday’s premiere.
It was supposed to be a surprise. Clearly he took that seriously.

For now, all we can do is keep playing out scenarios in our minds as to how Legend’s appearance will fall into line with the Pearsons.
