Local man who appeared on ‘American Pickers’ charged with burglary

DONEGAL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man who appeared in an episode of the TV show “American Pickers” was charged with burglary.

Police said Ronald Heist, 69, of Summit Township, broke into a Donegal Township, Butler County barn in 2017. It had been turned into a studio.

Investigators said Heist, also known as “the Mole Man” according to court papers, stole $650 worth of items.

The victim told police he realized it was Heist when he bought his own mirror back at his store.

Heist is set to appear in court next month. He had appeared in an episode of the show’s first season.
