The Springettsbury Township Police Department in York, Pennsylvania said it does not know where the snake came from or how long it had been by the roadside.

In May of last year, police in Morgantown, West Virginia, were warning people about a 15-foot-long snake that had escaped from a truck. It’s not clear if the two incidents are related. York and Morgantown are roughly 225 miles away from each other.
