SHERADEN, Pa. — Police in Pittsburgh said two people were killed in a shooting in Sheraden early Monday morning.
According to police, one of the victims was found on Glen Mawr Avenue hours after the shooting.
Investigators said the victim’s body was found a few blocks away from the crime scene, on Zephyr Street.
“Early this morning there was a shootout on Glen Maw Avenue behind us here in the same block. We believe (the victim's wound) possibly a result of that,” Pittsburgh police Lt. Daniel Hermann said.
That victim has been identified as 18-year-old Martin Brown Jr.
Police identified the second victim as 17-year-old Diondre Dozier, of Sheraden. Officers said Dozier was shot in the chest and taken to Allegheny General Hospital shortly after the shooting, where he later died.
“There were a few people trying to help him and stop him from bleeding. They were calling 911 and everything and staying with him until the ambulance actually got there,” said one neighbor.
Channel 11 News has also learned that a third shooting victim showed up at Allegheny General Hospital, but police have not yet determined if that victim is related to the shooting on Glen Mawr Avenue.
Authorities said they’re waiting to talk to the 24-year-old in hopes he has some helpful information about the shooting that sent neighbors diving for cover.
"It sounded like a couple different guns coming from different directions. I'm not too sure,; I just stayed down until the shots were done," said Marcellus Grinage.
So far, no arrests have been made. Investigators said a white SUV was seen leaving in the direction of Carson Street.
