PITTSBURGH — A woman was found dead inside a Pittsburgh home with a possible gunshot wound to the head, police said.
Authorities were called to Wilhelm Street in Elliott at 11:35 p.m. Saturday after a family member found the woman.
Police said there was a large amount of blood around the woman’s head. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
On Monday, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as 62-year-old Susan Yvonne Hays.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner has not released the cause of death at this time.
Thursday, investigators announced they are investigating this case as a homicide.
