84 Lumber promotes Dave Morgan to general counsel after 10 years as deputy

84 Lumber Co. has promoted Dave Morgan from deputy general counsel to general counsel.

The company announced that the promotion is effective immediately.

Morgan joined 84 Lumber in 2016 as deputy general counsel, and the company said he has played a critical role in guiding 84 Lumber through growth and key initiatives. In his new role, Morgan will oversee all legal matters for the company, offering strategic counsel and supporting long-term operations.

“I was so glad when I brought Dave into the company,” said Maggie Hardy, owner and CEO of 84 Lumber, in a prepared statement. “He came to 84 with a strong background, and I wanted to make sure he truly understood our business and culture. Over the years, he’s done exactly that. Dave has a deep empathy for our customers and our associates, and he understands how this company operates. His promotion to general counsel is very well-deserved.”
