ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — Allegheny County will host a virtual career fair on Wednesday.
There will be two sessions from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The online platform will allow people to join from a computer, tablet or mobile device.
“We saw during the pandemic just how important county services were to residents. Each and every day, county operations have an impact on someone’s life,” said County Executive Rich Fitzgerald. “There are opportunities available in departments across the county with competitive pay and good benefits. These aren’t just jobs, but the start of a career. Come and join us.”
A total of 19 virtual booths, featuring information on more than 60 positions will be available, including:
- Accounting and Finance
- Administrative Support
- Building Trades/Skilled Labor
- Children Initiatives
- Economic Development
- Emergency Management
- Engineering/Construction Project Management
- Human Resources
- Information Technology/Data
- Jail Correctional Officers
- Legal Professionals
- Lifeguards
- Nursing and Medical Professionals
- Parks and Recreation
- Poll Workers
- Public Health
- Real Estate
- Scientists and Technicians
- Social Work and Case Management
These positions include full-time, part-time and seasonal roles, as well as internships.
Human Resources will also host two live webinars, one at noon and one at 6 p.m.
The virtual career fair will remain open 24/7 for 30 days after the event, although there will be no live staff in attendance.
