Man gets house arrest for deadly crash caused by texting and driving

PINE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man charged in a deadly crash in Pine Township has pleaded guilty.

Charles Hunter entered the plea to involuntary manslaughter on Monday.

Hunter was texting moments before losing control of a mobile crane truck in March of 2018.

Jay Watts, 54, was killed and another person was hurt.

Hunter will spend two years under house arrest and five years on probation.
