PITTSBURGH — Amazon is hiring more than 300,000 seasonal, part-time and full-time workers across its U.S. operations network for the holiday season.
The national hiring initiative includes more than 1,300 open positions across the Greater Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania region.
The roles are being posted weekly from October through December, with opportunities for seasonal workers to transition into full-time positions. Amazon is also expanding health care coverage to qualifying seasonal employees starting Jan. 1, 2027.
Under the updated benefits structure, seasonal staff working at least 30 hours per week will qualify for health care coverage. Plan options start at $5 per week with $5 copays, extending a benefit previously offered to full-time employees from their first day of work.
Full-time operations workers start at a minimum wage of $20 per hour, with average hourly pay reaching nearly $24. When including benefits, total compensation for full-time employees averages more than $32 per hour. Seasonal employees earn an average of $20 per hour.
The company is also offering employees a grocery discount featuring 10% off eligible online purchases and 20% off in-store purchases at Whole Foods Market. Additionally, workers receive access to Day one Financial banking services provided through First Tech Federal Credit Union.
Applicants can view and apply for open roles as they are released in waves through the company’s employment portal at amazon.com/localjobs.
