FOX CHAPEL, Pa. — The Woodland Hills-Fox Chapel high school football game Friday night will have restricted attendance following a threat, the district said in a joint statement.
The game is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. at James M. Burk Stadium at Fox Chapel High School.
“Out of an abundance of caution, attendance at tonight’s football game between Fox Chapel Area and Woodland Hills at Fox Chapel Area High School will be restricted to only players’ parents and guardians from both teams due to an unspecified threat reported via the Safe2Say system,” the districts said.
The statement specified that no other community members, including student spectators, band members, or cheerleaders, will be allowed at the game.
There will also be a heightened police presence at Friday night’s game, and the districts are asking anyone to report concerning activity immediately.
The district’s clear bag policy will remain in effect, and all bags will be subject to search.
The Woodland Hills School District ended the statement with the following message:
“The safety of students, staff, and community members remains the district’s top priority.
“The district will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates if circumstances change.
“Thank you for your cooperation in working to keep both school communities safe.”
