PITTSBURGH — Lt. Gov. John Fetterman is getting a boost today from the White House – a seat on Air Force One.

Fetterman will greet President Joe Biden at the Pittsburgh airport, join him at the infrastructure event, and then travel with Biden on Air Force One to Philadelphia for a closed-door reception tonight, a White House and campaign aide confirmed to NBC News.

Fetterman, the Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania Senate, is in a tight race with Dr. Mehmet Oz. He’s the rare non-member of Congress to get the Air Force One treatment, NBC reports.

Fetterman joined Biden twice this year already, at a January event in Pittsburgh on infrastructure that included an unscheduled visit to the Fern Hollow Bridge, and a Labor Day event just outside Pittsburgh.

Fetterman and Oz have agreed to a debate, to be aired exclusively on Oct. 25 on Channel 11.
