Prices at the pump continue to climb.
The average cost for a gallon of gas jumped 23 cents in Western Pennsylvania in the last week, up to $4.537, according to AAA.
In the Pittsburgh area, the average is closer to $4.55, compared to $4.35 the week before.
AAA says the cost increase comes as volatility in the Strait of Hormuz has pushed the price of crude oil back in the $100 per barrel range for the first time since July.
Diesel has also hit a new record high of $6.37 a gallon.
