PITTSBURGH — Very warm and muggy overnight; temperatures will only drop to the low 70s. Stray showers and a few storms are possible overnight.
Due to limited cooling overnight and hot temperatures and high humidity Thursday, the Heat Advisory will continue for Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington, Greene, Monongalia (WV), along with eastern Fayette and eastern Westmoreland counties through 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
Make sure to stay safe and cool in the heat and don’t forget about your pets.
The threat for storms also continues in the forecast on and off at times through Friday.
Storms could become severe and bring heavy rain, frequent lightning, damaging winds and small hail.
Make sure to stay weather aware through the end of the week.
Much nicer air arrives for Labor Day weekend with lower humidity and highs around 80 degrees starting Saturday.
