BRENTWOOD, Pa. — Homeowners in Brentwood are concerned after police alerted them to four burglaries reported over a 48 hour period.

According to a post on the Brentwood Borough Police Department Facebook page, the burglaries all took place between Sunday night and Tuesday on Beisner, Pary, and Hillson avenues.

John Rapano said his neighbor was one of the victims.

"He told me cash was taken and a lot of quarters, about $250. That's a heavy load to carry," he said.

In their Facebook post, authorities encouraged homeowners to close and lock windows and doors and to have exterior lighting around their properties to ward off suspecting thieves.

Several surveillance photos of the suspect were released Wednesday.

In addition, one homeowner, who did not want to be identified, told Channel 11 that part of the investigation is focused on a shoe print, smaller than a size 6 shoe, that’s believed to have been left by a burglar. The print was found underneath one of the homeowner’s windows that had its screens slashed out.

Resident Renee Grimm said there was a meeting Tuesday night in the neighborhood. The burglaries were a topic of discussion.

"The family that was first hit is a nice family and we just don't understand," said Grimm.

Grimm said that for the first time in 14 years she is making sure that her doors are locked.

Anyone who has observed suspicious activity or persons in the Brentwood area or has any information about the recent burglaries is asked to contact police.
