Woman reported missing out of Kittanning found dead on Harrison Township riverbank

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A missing woman Kittanning Borough police were looking for since Friday was found dead in Harrison Township Sunday afternoon.

According to Kittanning police, 51-year-old Kim Mead was last seen traveling on foot in the 1400 block of Orr Avenue at around 6:39 a.m. Friday. She was walking southbound.

Police were asking those who live in that area, and have doorbell or porch cameras, to check their footage between 6:40 a.m. to the present to track Mead.

A medical examiner’s report said that Mead was found deceased on a riverbank on Polaski Drive just before 4 p.m. Sunday.

The Allegheny County Police Department is investigating Mead’s death.
