TARENTUM, Pa. — SWAT and police spent hours at the scene of a barricaded man in Tarentum on Friday.
Allegheny County dispatchers said police officers were called to the 200 block of West 10th Avenue at 4:40 p.m. on Friday.
The Allegheny County Police Department says the incident began when a man threatened a woman with a gun, then barricaded himself in a home.
The woman was able to get out before SWAT got on scene.
Negotiators made contact with the barricaded man, but he refused to come outside and eventually stopped communicating with negotiators.
A Channel 11 crew on scene saw drones up in the air, and SWAT units calling out to the man inside the home.
ACPD says around 12:05 a.m. Saturday, a SWAT team entered the home and took him into custody without incident.
No one was injured throughout the incident. Tarentum police are now investigating further.
