The East Allegheny School District has cut the ribbon on its newly upgraded stadium.
Churchman Stadium now has a new turf field, a digital scoreboard and a fully rebuilt concession stand.
“To be able to have a new facility where upgrades haven’t happened in a long time. It’s something everyone is excited about, from our student athletes to our school board to community members,” Superintendent Joe DiLucente said. “I’m being stopped regularly with genuine excitement around what’s going on.”
Students and community members took advantage of the improvements on Friday night during the school’s home opener against Mapletown.
