Los Angeles man charged after TSA finds pistol in carry-on bag at Pittsburgh International Airport

A man is facing charges after police found a carry-on bag at the Pittsburgh International Airport.

Allegheny County Police responded to a call at 4:06 p.m. on Monday after TSA found the pistol at a security checkpoint.

The owner of the bag was identified as Isaiah Hernandez, 26, of Los Angeles. Police say he did not have a valid license.

He has been charged with carrying a gun without a license.

Anyone who brings a gun to an airport security checkpoint can face federal fines ranging from $10,000 to $13,910.

The FBI is also investigating.
